The Work Beneath Meaningful Change
Path of Wisdom is built on the belief that real change happens when people slow down, take time to understand their situation, and reconnect with what matters.
If you are dealing with stress, relationship issues, big changes, team problems, or shifts at work, we start by looking at people, emotions, patterns, values, and relationships. This helps create the right conditions to move forward with clarity and care.
I am not here to tell you who to be or give you just one solution. Instead, I use a trauma-informed and emotionally aware approach that helps you gain insight, make choices, and find practical next steps.
One approach, different contexts
I follow a consistent method, but I change the emphasis according to the situation. With individuals, I create a safe, respectful environment where you can slow down, reflect on your situation, and reconnect with your values. We look at the problems you're facing, the feeling of disconnection, and the things that are most important to you, such as your emotions, your body, and your relationships.
I help leaders, teams, and organizations become more self-aware, improve communication, strengthen decision-making, manage differences, and adapt to change. These abilities shape workplace culture, team performance, and the quality of work. In each instance, my objective is not to provide ideal or immediate solutions. Instead, I want to promote genuine reflection, help you develop new skills, and help you find a practical way forward.
About me
The Path of Wisdom is founded on the belief that individuals and organizations possess their own wisdom, even when stress, change, or conflict make it difficult to access. This principle applies to both personal and professional contexts. My experiences living and working in diverse settings, including Alaska, Brooklyn, Hawai’i, and throughout Asia, as well as supporting new communities, have taught me to adapt to uncertainty while remaining focused on core values during times of change.
These experiences have shown me that genuine change doesn't come from asking people, teams, or organizations to become someone else, but by helping them pause, reflect, and reconnect with their values, purpose, and current choices. I have supported individuals, communities, teams, and organizations through crisis, transition, conflict, and change, and I have seen how stress and uncertainty affect relationships, communication, leadership, decision-making, and shared direction.
Path of Wisdom integrates real-life experience, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, coaching, facilitation, and a trauma-informed approach into a restorative process. This process provides a consistent, respectful environment to assess current needs, address priorities, and establish a meaningful path forward. The goal is not perfection or quick fixes, but to help individuals and organizations build clarity, connection, resilience, and the capacity to navigate change in alignment with their values, vision, purpose, and responsibilities.
Why this approach is different
This practice is built on years of experience supporting teens, parents, and communities through crisis, transition, and restoration. Path of Wisdom’s approach is rooted in compassion, safety, groundedness, empathy, and belonging. Rather than offering quick fixes, we provide a safe, steady environment where you can heal and find purpose at your own pace. Emotional intelligence is central to our work, not as a skill to display, but as a quiet strength that helps you understand yourself, care for your feelings, and let your values guide your life.

The foundation of my work
Path of Wisdom integrates conflict resolution, trauma-informed practices, values-based restorative principles, emotional intelligence, conflict-resolution skills, and respect for each individual's perspective across all areas of life, relationships, community, and organization.
I view struggle as an opportunity for growth, not a sign of personal or organizational failure. It often shows that a key value, relationship, need, pattern, system, loss, conflict, or habit needs attention. This approach encourages honest, compassionate, curious, and responsible responses to these challenges.
Safety, dignity, and choice
A meaningful process depends on an environment where individuals and teams can be authentic and are not limited by their challenges.
For individuals, this means having a space to bring your full self, including your background, identity, and relationships. We adapt our pace to fit your needs and daily life, keeping you in control of the process.
For teams and organizations, this means creating a structured, inclusive environment where all input is valued, and accountability is expected. It also requires space for difficult conversations without pressuring anyone to be vulnerable or conform.
Safety does not mean avoiding difficult conversations. It means addressing them with care, clear communication, consent, and an understanding of their impact.
Emotional intelligence in practice
Emotional intelligence isn't about suppressing emotions or staying calm all the time. It involves recognizing your emotions and using that awareness constructively.
For individuals, emotional intelligence fosters self-awareness, healthy boundaries, clear communication, and thoughtful decision-making. It promotes understanding your emotions with empathy and managing stress, change, and conflict in line with your values.
In organizations, emotional intelligence is evident in situations such as:
A leader managing stress while continuing to support and engage with their team.
A team identifying tension early and addressing it before it escalates.
Colleagues listening to understand, rather than to respond.
People considering both outcomes and how their decisions affect others.
Teams resolving disagreements while staying focused on shared goals.
Individuals taking responsibility for their influence on organizational culture.
Emotional intelligence does not remove challenges, disagreements, or uncertainty. It enables people to address these situations with greater awareness, clarity, flexibility, and accountability.
For organizations
Path of Wisdom helps leaders, teams, and organizations develop resilience and purpose by enhancing emotional intelligence and boosting trust, communication, collaboration, team capacity, conflict resolution, and purposeful action.
This approach does not require people to suppress emotions, display vulnerability, or maintain a positive attitude; rather, it centers on identifying emotions, understanding the dynamics of the team, dealing with differences and conflicts in a constructive way, and making decisions that are in line with the organization's values, vision, purpose, and responsibilities.
Conditions that enable people to thrive
Leaders and teams achieve meaningful results when individuals feel clarity, connection, trust, and unity around a common purpose and vision.
Our work focuses on creating conditions that support:
Building trust: Involves creating relationships where people can speak honestly, listen carefully, and raise issues that matter to them.
Motivation: Helping people to connect with the values, vision, purpose, and meaning that make their work significant.
Adaptability: Helping people stay grounded and, at the same time, flexible when facing uncertainty, transition, and change.
Teamwork: Involves improving communication, promoting collaboration, and enabling people to work together despite differences.
Follow-through: Ensuring decisions, commitments, and actions are clear, jointly understood, and aligned with the organization's values, vision, and purpose.
Assessment and practical learning
Path of Wisdom uses Six Seconds’ Vital Signs and other assessments to clarify leadership, team, and organizational climate issues. These tools highlight key factors such as trust, motivation, teamwork, adaptability, and execution. The results help leaders and teams identify strengths, understand collaboration and conflict management, establish baselines, set goals, and track progress over time.
Data can enhance but not replace individuals’ understanding of their work, relationships, or organization. It offers insights that support deeper conversations, clearer priorities, and practical next steps. I bring experience in emotional intelligence, facilitation, team building, conflict resolution, trauma-informed practices, data-driven assessments, and structured learning. Leaders and participants contribute knowledge of people, vision, purpose, relationships, operations, and daily life.
For Personal Support
For anyone feeling exhausted, disconnected, or overwhelmed; carrying too much, feeling lost, or no longer like themselves; and wanting space to slow down, listen to themselves, and find their way back to steadiness and clarity.
Path of Wisdom helps individuals reconnect with what matters, align with their values, and develop a more honest, grounded, and sustainable sense of meaning, purpose, and direction.

Coaching and facilitation provide support, space to reflect, and practical tools, but you always make your own decisions. Honesty, openness to reflection, and commitment to your well-being are important for our work together. If you are unsure where to start, a consultation can clarify your needs and determine if this approach fits you.

FAQ
-
The consultation is a place to explore that together. We can talk about what you need, what this work offers, and whether it feels like a good fit, without any pressure to decide quickly.
-
No. You do not need a neat story or a clear goal. Part of our work can be figuring out what feels most important to focus on right now.
-
No. Many people come when something feels off, unsustainable, or quietly painful, even if life still looks okay on the outside—especially when they have been carrying that pain while navigating racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or other forms of exclusion and erasure in the places they live and work.
