A word of welcome

Most people come to Path of Wisdom not because they have lost their sense of self, but because how they see themselves no longer feels right. This scope of practice explains what you can expect, what we will work on together, and when I might recommend other support.

How I practice

I believe you already have the wisdom you need to move forward. My role is to offer a safe and steady space where you can listen to yourself and trust that inner wisdom again.

My ethical commitment

I follow the International Coaching Federation (ICF) standards and ethics in all my work. My goal is to create a safe, brave, and respectful space where you feel valued and understood. I will always be clear about what coaching can and cannot help with. If you need support beyond what I offer, I will help you find the right resources. If you have questions about these standards or my approach, please ask anytime.

What Coaching Is

Coaching is a supportive partnership where we work together to help you reconnect with what matters most. It is a place to clarify your goals, discover what feels true for you, and find your next steps at your own pace. Therapy often looks at where challenges began, but coaching helps you move forward from where you are now toward a life that feels more true to you. At Path of Wisdom, coaching gives you a space to quiet the noise of overwhelm and crisis. Here, you can return to your values, your body, and your deeper self, and explore what feels right for you now.

What we may work on

  • Clarity & meaning. Find your values, purpose, and direction again when your usual coping strategies no longer help.

  • Identity & alignment. Notice the gap between how life appears and how it actually feels and discover more genuine ways to move forward.

  • Integration. Understand a major change in your life, respect what has changed, and start rebuilding from a more stable place.

  • Relational rhythms. Create more stable and lasting ways to connect with others and care for them, while also taking care of yourself.

  • Emotional intelligence. Use emotional intelligence and Positive Intelligence tools to observe how you react to stress and make choices.

Who This Work Is For

Path of Wisdom supports parents, teens, and people who feel tired, lost, or numb. This space is for those who feel burned out, overwhelmed, or stuck after carrying so much for so long, and who want steady, compassionate, and clear support. This space is here for you if:

  • You are someone who looks capable on the outside, but inside you feel disconnected from meaning or unsure of your direction.

  • You are a caregiver, helping professional, or someone in the mental health field who feels the weight of compassion fatigue.

  • You are a parent or someone who supports others through crisis or tough transitions, and you are feeling overwhelmed or stretched thin.

  • You are a parent, teen, or individual whose relationships feel stretched as you do your best to care for the people you love.

  • You have gone through a big change and are looking for support as you gently find your way forward.

What coaching is not

At Path of Wisdom, our coaching is based on compassion and emotional depth. We use a trauma-informed approach and make space for real feelings. We also want to be clear about our boundaries so you feel safe and supported.

  • Coaching does not diagnose, assess, treat, or cure any mental or physical health condition.

  • It does not diagnose or treat mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association.

  • It is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental-health care, substance-abuse treatment, or medical care.

  • It is not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

  • It is not an emergency, crisis, or on-call service.

No guarantee of specific outcomes

Coaching gives you a space to find clarity, reflect, and make real changes. I cannot promise specific results or timelines, since these depend on your unique situation, readiness, and commitment to the process. My role is to offer a safe and steady environment as you move forward. You always choose your next steps.

When coaching may not be the right fit

To make sure this space stays honest and safe, there may be times when coaching is not the best option. If you are in a crisis, have self-harming thoughts, are dealing with untreated addiction, or have a condition that needs clinical care, it might be best to pause coaching. In those situations, I can support you by helping you find the right professional help. We can continue coaching when it is truly helpful for you.

Coaching and therapy can work well together

For many people, coaching and therapy can exist alongside each other in a supportive way. If it becomes clear that you need clinical or medical support, I will be honest about that and help you move toward the right care. If you are already seeing a therapist, doctor, or other licensed provider, I encourage you to let them know we are working together.

Confidentiality & Its Limits

What you share with me in our coaching sessions is treated with care and respect. I honor your privacy and keep our conversations confidential, following the ICF Code of Ethics. I will only share your information or use your name if you give written permission.

However, it is important to know that, unlike with doctors or lawyers, coaching conversations are not protected by legal privilege. I am committed to creating a safe and trusting space and keeping things confidential, but our conversations do not have the same legal protections.

Safety exceptions

To follow trauma-informed and ethical guidelines, I may need to share information if I believe there is a serious or immediate risk of harm to you or someone else, if I suspect abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, or if the law requires it. If it is safe and possible, I will talk with you about this first. These rules are here to help keep you and others safe.

To support my professional growth, I may ask your permission to discuss our sessions in a general and anonymous manner with a mentor coach. I will never share any information that could identify you. This process is solely for my ongoing development.

How We Will Work Together

A trauma-informed approach is at the heart of how we work together. I will follow these principles in every part of our work.

  • Choice and consent. You are always in control of the direction, depth, and pace of our work. If something doesn’t feel right, you can pause, change focus, take a break, or stop at any time, for any reason. You never have to explain your choices.

  • Pacing. We move at a pace that respects your needs and your daily life. We have a gentle structure to guide us, but our conversations are flexible and always focus on what feels most supportive for you.

  • Safety. You are welcome as you are. This is a steady, respectful, and non-judgmental space where your story matters. Here, you don’t have to carry things alone or hide any part of yourself.

  • Respect. I honor your story, your identity, your culture, and everything you have experienced. I welcome our differences with humility and a real desire to understand.

What each of us brings

  • I am fully present with you, offering a steady structure and gentle encouragement for honest reflection. I use trauma-informed practices, hold clear and caring boundaries, and honor the ICF code of ethics, so you can feel safe and supported throughout our work together.

  • You bring what matters most: a willingness to communicate honestly, openness to reflection and feedback, and the time and energy to take part fully.

Client responsibility

You are the expert on your own life and decide what to do with what we explore together. Coaching offers support, reflection, and tools, but your choices and actions are always your own. You bring honesty, a willingness to reflect, and care for your own well-being as we move forward.

Getting started is no-pressure

Each new coaching relationship usually begins with a free 60-minute consultation to make sure we are a good fit. There is no obligation and nothing you need to prepare. It is just a conversation. Details about scheduling, fees, cancellations, and other terms are in the Coaching Agreement, which we will review together.

If You Ever Need Urgent Support

Coaching is not for emergencies or crisis situations, and I cannot respond right away in those cases. If you are in crisis or thinking of harming yourself or others, please get help right away instead of waiting for our session.

  • In an emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number).

  • Call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (U.S.), available 24/7.

  • Contact a licensed mental-health professional, your physician, or the nearest emergency room.
